as lessons are available on Monday, Tuesday or Friday nights at a cost of $5 per person per hour.
What's new in 2010?
Classes - 7pm to 9pm - (There is a break for supper)
Cost $20 for each school term for each level
This is an open letter to all the people who attended our lessons at the beginning of 2009 and have since dropped out for various reasons. We would like to invite you all back to try our new format of only learning one new dance each week and one revision dance from the previous week. We now have a programme for the whole year with no backtracking for late starters so that by the end of the year you will have learnt about 30 new dances. The later starting time of 7pm should also allow people to get home from work, freshen up and then come to lessons. We particularly need more males this year as we have had a lot of enquiries from Ladies with no dance partner.
Please note: Due to work at O'Connor College you will need to park behind the school on Donnelly Street and take the short walk to the gymnasium
Tuesday 9th February - Beginners 7-9pm
New Dance for Tonight ... Veleta
Revision Dance ... Canadian Three Step
Wednesday 10th February - Intermediate 7-9pm
New Dance for Tonight ... Militaire
Revision Dance ... Alpha Modern Waltz
Thursday 11th February - Advanced 7-9pm
New Dance for Tonight ... Bluebird Modern Waltz
Revision Dance ... Banyan Blues
- You will learn one new dance a night and practice the previous week's dance.
- On the last evening of the term you will dance all you have learnt in the previous 9 weeks
- If you commence after the first 5 weeks of the term, the cost will be $10 (so please keep your receipt)
- Even if you don't have a partner, come along and learn - ladies can easily dance with other ladies
This Saturday, 13th February at Kentucky with Country Dance Revival 8pm-midnight $12 + Please bring a plate
